Nitish Rana is an Indian cricket player who plays as a batting all-rounder for the Delhi state cricket team in domestic cricket and now for the Indian cricket team in international cricket. He is a left-handed batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He was considered as the captain of Delhi replacing Gautam Gambhir in November 2018. He played his international match for India in July 2021. In June 2021, Rana was selected in India’s ODI and Twenty20 International squads for their series with Sri Lanka. He played his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka on 23 July 2021. He made 7 runs off 14 balls in his match. Rana played his Twenty20I debut for India against Sri Lanka on 28 July 2021. Rana was born on 27 December 1993Bharthal, Delhi, India. Dara Sing Rana is the father of Nitish Rana who is a Mathematics Professor in a college and Satish Rana is his mother. He completed his Schooling at DAV Centenary Public School, Delhi, and Vidya Jain Public School, Delhi. For helping Rana develop into a big-hitting batsman he has Credited Ricky Ponting.
