The full name of Ruturaj Gaikwad is Ruturaj Dashrat Gaikwad is an Indian cricketer. He played his international match for the India cricket team in July 2021. Gaikwad is one of the up-and-coming talents in the domestic cricket setup of India. He has been commended by former Indian captain MS Dhoni for his keen brain and immaculate understanding of the game. His playing role is a right-handed top-order batsman.

Gaikwad was considered in India B’s squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy in October 2018 and also considered for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy in October 2019. In December 2018, he was considered in India’s Cricket team for the 2018 ACC Appearing Teams Asia Cup. He made 187 not out for India A against Sri Lanka A in June 2019. In June 2021, he was considered in India’s ODI and Twenty20 International team for their series against Sri Lanka. He played his T20I match on 28 July 2021, for India against Sri Lanka.

The Early Life of Ruturaj Gaikwad:

Gaikwad was born on 31 January 1997 in Pune, Maharastra, India. His father, Dashrath Gaikwad is a Defence Research Development Officer, and his mother Sarita Gaikwad is a teacher of a municipal school. He started his cricket career at the age of 12 at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, Pune, and he completed his schooling at St Joseph’s High School.
