Varun Chakravarthy Vinod is the full name of Varun Chakravarthy, a Young Indian cricketer who represents Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League as an off-spin bowler. He played his international game for the India cricket team in July 2021. He is an off-break bowler and right-handed bat is his batting style.
On 20 September 2018, Varun played his List A debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. On 12 November 2018, he played his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. In October 2020, Varun was considered in India’s Twenty20 International team for their series against Australia. Although, on 9 November 2020, Varun was ruled out of the team after suffering an injury. In February 2021, he was considered in India’s T20I team for their series against England.
In the month of June 2021, Varun was named in India’s One Day International and T20I squads for their series against Sri Lanka. He played his T20 Internationals match on 25 July 2021, for India against Sri Lanka.
The Early Life of Varun Chakravarthy:
He was born on 29 August 1991Bidar, Karnataka, India. His father C.V.Vinod Chakravarthy who works at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. Malini Chakravarthy is his mother who is a homemaker. He studied at SRM University, Tamilnadu.
He also played a cameo appearance in the 2014 Indian Tamil-language sports drama film Jeeva as a club cricketer. Before his professional career as a cricket player, he worked as an architect. He married his girlfriend Neha Khedekar in a closed ceremony in Chennai on 11 December 2020.
