The Gujarat Lions was a cricket team belongs to Rajkot, it represented the state Gujarat in the IPL(Indian Premiar League. Gujarat Lions cricket team played within the IPL for 2 years in the 2016 and 2017 editions of IPL. This team was created as per the replacements of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Both these team were suspended for two seasons due to illegal betting by their owners. The Team was owned by Intex Technologies. Suresh Raina was the captain and Brad Hodge was the coach of this team. Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium and Green Park Stadium both were the home ground of this team.
